    I had the same problem at first so I changed the ads using smartzone and my clickthrough has been improving. I also di a blog post about a product that I use and posted an ad for that product gets a high CTR. Use tracking so you can see the demographics of your site such as quantcast. That combined with your topic should help you figure out what kinds of ads to use.
