    Hi folks,

I am new to CJ so this may have been covered before but a quick search didn't reveal what I was after (bad search terms maybe).

On the 4th of this month I had a sale of a domain name, this as I expected showed up in pending payments as I expected, but when I checked my CJ account today all traces of sale the have dissapeared, I've generated reports etc trying to find a reason behind it but can't find any explanation for it.

Since I'm new with CJ this doesn't instill a lot of faith in the CJ system.

Could it be something like a credit card fraud attempt behind the sale or something along those lines that could cause the sale to dissapear entirely, and if it is is there a way to see this in the CJ user interface?

I contacted them earlier on, still waiting for a reply.

If only I had earned enough for that to occur. :D

    Yesterday was reversals day.

If you get cheated on a reversal, it is the merchant-- not CJ. If a reversal happens, CJ loses money as well as you. The merchant is the one who has something to gain from reversing your payment. They are supposed to happen only because of credit card fraud, non payment, CC charge reversals, product returns, etc.

I make the bulk of my income with CJ; you have to find the right companies to promote.

I got a reversal as well from Buy.com for a $699.90 electronics product. The reason is "customer returned back the goods".

One thing for sure we as publishers are always under the mercy from the advertisers and cJ. We cannot demand a proof to claim that goods are actually returned or there is credit card fraud.

Thanks for the reply Hoff and others as well, I could contact the merchant and ask why the reversal occured and see what happens. I find it strange that it is possible to do a refund on a domain name sale but anything is possible I guess.

well usually cj, ls, reporting (befree) honors 30 to 60 day money back guarantee on most of their orders if not all so when a client of their client requested refund all they have to do is honor it, yeah i must admit mostly programs like this are more friendly with their customers rather than their affiliate partners. so its a point that must be taken be careful of referring "crap" sales or you end up 0.00

Got a reply from CJ, it was a reversal as TheHoff pointed out, and CJ pointed out how to track down the reversals in the reports.

Thanks to everyone for their replies.
