Hey all, I decided to make my first affiliate site yesterday - so naturally I joined CJ. I've got the hang of it but I'd like some tips on where to place the ads for max revenue.

    My site is http://drift-underground.blogspot.com

Any constructive criticism or tips will be highly appreciated. Thanks

A lot of the blogs that I see generally place their affiliate links on the sidebars. Then occasionally write a review of a product where they place a banner w/ an affiliate link in the content of the blog.

Blogspot is an easy way to jump into the world of blogging, but I'd recommend you pick up a shared hosting account with your own domain (you can get a good account for $5 or less a month) and go with a Wordpress blog with an attractive looking theme. This is the route I've taken and it has worked well. Presentation is everything and you can really build a beautiful looking blog with some of the wordpress themes available.

Thanks for all the helpful advice :D. I think im going to stick to Blogger for now and see where that takes me. In CJ im awaiting acceptance to affiliate with a Tire company since that pairs well with drifting, then I will do your review article about the company idea.

Integrate affiliate links for specific products into your blog entries. If you're talking about a brand of tires, then link the brand name to an affiliate link selling that brand. It tends to work very well when you integrate ads, rather than keeping it as a completely separate part of the site.
