I've been trying to log my into CJ affiliate recently, but I get an error message that they account is not found. I don't know why my account has been deleted, except I think I rember reading a few months ago somewhere that if you don't have any sales in 6 months your CJ account gets deleted. I emailed them but have yet to get a response. Does CJ disable your account after you haven't had any affiliate sales for 6 months?

Yes that happened to me once, I emailed CJ and they said to sign up again using a different email address.

Seems stupid deleting accounts then telling us to sign up again :( .

You may have had your account deleted but CJ has been having trouble lately (I have had that same message myself but after a couple hours I was able to login again). At abestweb many people said they were having trouble with this error.

CJ do "suspend" your account through lack of sales in a 6 month period.
I had my account re-opened by phoning them. That was about a year ago.
Now my account was suspended again and they said they would re-open, providing I made a sale within 30 days. LOL
Its a crazy system they have. They dont realise that we spend time creating affiliate links that become void if this happens. I have to re-register a new CJ account, then find any CJ links around my sites and reassign the new affiliate ID.
I prefer shareasale, especially with their increasing range of datafeeds.

It's actually been for the past 2 weeks that I wasn't able to log in. When I went to "Fogot your Passord" & typed in my email, it said email address could not be found. Anyway, I ended up opening up a new account with new email address.

In regards to the email I sent them asking what happened with my account over a day ago, still no response.

What about if you made a purchase through your own affiliate link during that 30 day period, like GoDaddy domain or renewal? Would that be allowed?

CJ sucks anyway ..... i received very few commissions through them.
I tried out another network and one of the programs was in both networks. I received commissions for that program almost straight away through the new network.

I also notice a lot of programs are moving away from CJ, I'm receiving regular emails about programs that are no longer there. That used to be a rare occurance.

last I knew they don't delete accounts until 6 months of inactivity.

CJ doesn't suck. I know people earning over $30,000/mo there and it's a very good company. You just need to know how to use their service, that's all.

Personally I feel that CJ is loosing some good money from closing peoples accounts after 6 months of inactivity. They had closed mine a few times now and that was when I first started out in affiliate marketing and didn't know much about it.

CJ closing accounts after 6 months also doesn't help the way that affiliates feel against them.

There has been a few times where I have put links accrossed the whole of my site which took about a month or 2 and then I get no sales after 6 months and find my account closed.

I told them and they told me to sign up again, this meant that I had to DO EVERYTHING that I had already done again, as I had to go through the whole of my site changing all the ids.

I got my account deleted again for inactivity and can clearly say that I just didn't bother with them again as they were just wasting my time.

The result is that I joined one of their competitor networks ShareASale and started earning money from there.

I am now happily earning over $200 every month now when it could have been from CJ, but instead it is from their competitor.

Deleting peoples accounts will only mean that the affiliate will go and signup with their competitor, so truthfully I think CJ is doing things wrong here.

Don't forget that there are alot of new affiliates that join the affiliate marketing industry and it normally takes about 6-12 months to make a sale, after that you start becoming better at it, but you also will not be with CJ as they would have deleted your account in that time.

So you will be with a network earning some good money and it would not be CJ. So as you can see CJ is loosing money over it.

Although saying this I will be using CJ again soon as I know that I can definatley make at least 1 sale every month now so I will be fine from now on with my new account that I will set up sometime in the future.

But I definately know that once peoples accounts get deleted they never signup with CJ again, I am just one of a few that will try a good few times before giving up.
