While I hate the term citizen journalism personally, it seems to be the one that's 'stuck' - for the moment at least. I started Muncie Free Press after being downsized by the Gannett Empire. I launched the site on July 4th, 2005. Anyway, one complaint I get occasionally that the site is a little hard to use. Would love any and all comments/thoughts/ideas for the site - good and bad. Thanks in advance.
Looks unusuall to me. Google search bar is something which screems "use me", although most users probably want to browse the articles, so I would consider to move it to some more neutral place.
Unusual how? The whole site? Or just the Goog search bar? I did have a large rectangle there for a while. Might just take that little block (now w/search) out altogether, though. Any other thoughts on this? Thanks for the input, though. It's very much appreciated.
I like the site, but you should make the table on the left side different colors than then center table, seems to me that to much is going on and takes away from the page as a whole.
Thanks . You're talking on the homepage? Maybe a lighter shade of green. (I'm color blind, which doesn't help a lot with my web design - i try to stick to basic monochromatic color schemes. ; ) Thanks for the input, though. It's appreciated. -kpaul
