An eagerly awaited book on the history of the Chinese nuclear weapons program will not be published due to objections from the Central Intelligence Agency, which said it contains classified information. http://www.fas.org/blog/secrecy/2007/04/cia_blocks_book_on_chinese_nuc.html
commandos, this has to be one of your best posts ever. It's from a reliable source and I find this really interesting.. To me it sounds like CIA and DoD wants to be on the safe side. But I agree that the book should have been published.
Regardless of whether the CIA can block it or not, if it's determined that the book contains sensitive info, the U.S. government will have it blocked. Meaning we'll just have to learn to build our nukes off the internet ... or by watching The Manhattan Project
I hear that Osama bin Laden has a lot of money, and you two seem to share a lot of the same political views. If you can find him, you should hit him up for some (dare I say it...) "angel" investment.
Also ... its not me who deal with Terrorists ... All of you guys are running away from answering me . CIA hires terrorist group to operate inside Iran Big Sheep .
That story said nothing about "hiring" a group of terrorists. It said they had connections in advising Pakistani militants how to hunt Al Quaeda fugures there in Iran. Furthermore they may have been trying to de-stabilize the Irananian Government but that sems like speculation. They advised...thats the CIA job as they are in the information business. Your dishonesty reflects badly on you.
I find this somewhat disturbing, but most of all, as someone looking to get a clearance myself, I am rather curious about this. If he already had certain bits of information and knowledge from his own work, but he uncovered independant sources for this information, is he entitled to disclose the information that he uncovered under first amendment rights? If I currently had the same information, I could publish it at whim, unless it was blocked based on national security measures (many scientists have been prevented from publishing, or even patenting findings during war time in order that the enemy be hindered in getting the technological or scientific advance).
