i've noticed merchants are preparing very strong consumer offers this year, better 3 for 2's, BOGOF, blanket discounts like 10% off etc, so here's hoping this drives what customers there are online! not that i compete with the big voucher and discount sites but some of my blogs i see stronger conversions with vouchers attached to the posts.
I've noticed that the shops near me are displaying some Xmas themed products already but I'm surprised your traffic is going up seeing as we're so far off. I wish you the best of luck and a very Merry Crimbo!
damn, I really should start taking into consideration making sites to cash in on holiday traffic - maybe next easter, or it's maybe not too late this year for Xmas
Buy one get one free or BOGOF (don't mix with bog-off) is by far the most successful promotion ever. It works much better than a discount. There are shoppers that don't like discounts but everyone loves a freebie.
We have just finished revamping 2 sites a Toyshop and a Beauty site for the Christmas traffic, and we even started promoting them last week as the earlier you start pushing them the potential more trade you can get.
I wouldn't have believed it that the season starts up so soon, it was overlooked from my part. Thanks for your kind wakening.
Don't forget that there comes Halloween before Christmas. If there are any scary or death-related things on your shop, make a Halloween promotion. You need to get this going as soon as possible. High-street shops are already full of corpses and skeletons
I'm glad to see any increase in traffic right now. A couple of weeks ago, things seemed to get very slow. Anyone else notice the same?
Meh...We have got 3 months to go yet! I didn't think there was such thing as christmas traffic lol. I think im in the wrong line of websites
Wow, well thats definitely a good sign considering times of a weakening economy. So, congrats, and get out there full force so you are not missing the early anticipation excitement. PPC, articles, etc.
It gets earlier and earlier every year... i work in a super market and they've got xmas stuff out already but halloween stuff has yet to rear it's head :S
