CHRISTIANS vs DINOSAURS

Christians do not believe in dinosaurs. They can’t because dinosaurs lived on the earth millions of years ago. Christians believe the earth is thousands of years old…not millions. Some Christians believe that dinosaurs existed along with humans but were killed during the great flood. However this does not make sense because GOD said to take two of every animal. So did Noah look at the dinosaurs and say “these guys will not fit inside the boat so let them die…..” So is it possible to believe in Dinosaurs and be Christian???? www.wozog.com

 

I got in trouble at Sunday School as a child for asking about them... Though, the actual answer I got was that "no one knows how long those first 7 days were" though, meh, that was figured out before the animals came to be.

Dinosaurs are a conspiracy brought about by bored archaeologists!

 

You can't take the Bible literally and also believe in reality. But I don't think it's fair to say that you have to take the Bible literally to be a Christian. Sensible Christians do not.

 

So if Christians DO believe in Dinosaurs and they DO believe that they lived millions of years ago...Then what happened to them? The bible never speaks of them.

 

This is a dumb thread. What about Christian Dinosaurs?

 

Are there any text of the time that speak of them? I'm sure there are a lot of things that are not mentioned in the bible that existed, that certainly does not mean they didn't exist...

I'm christian and i believe there were dinos.
there's fossils of them, it would be stupid to say they didnt exist.
as to the detail of when they lived and when they went extinct, i have no clue.
and honestly it doesn't alter my faith just because i don't know all the answers to everything.

 

So it is possible to be Christian and believe in Dinosaurs?? Then how come when I told my Pastor that dinosaurs are real he slapped me in the face. He said he didn't mean it and cried.

 

Erm your pastor is not right in his head, aye? How could he slap you for that...you're free to believe whatever you want, if he's enforcing religion on you, he's a lesser man.

Of course dinosaurs existed. Sure, we can make biblical excuses for the millions of fossils found like "they were planted there by archeologists!!1!" or "God will punish you for asking about dinosaurs". Does this stop them from being true? Of course not. It's just an example of frustration that religion doesn't fit as well nowadays as it did 2 thousand years ago.

There's nothing wrong with being spiritual. As long as you have some boundaries and you can stay attached to the real world as well.

 

I'm sorry that happened to you. When your Pastor said he didn't mean it and he cried it was probably because he realized what an asshole he was. Also he probably realized that it's ridiculous to preach that dinosaurs don't exist.

The only thing that conflicts is when someone states a time period as a fact with no proof and calls their theory a tested fact.

There are a few threads about dinosaurs here, search for them and read them. I am dumbfounded that people think that dinosaurs and the Bible conflict. That is as dumb as those scientist who say the earth is flat, but some people believe a scientist no matter what they say instead of getting proof and facts before worshipping some theory.

Creationists have a perfectly reasonable explanation for this. what they say happened is that man and dinosaurs existed at the same time (seriously), And all dinosaurs were vegetarian (seriously). Man used to use dinosaurs like we use horses and cattle now, For farming and transport (lol, seriously).

But how does that explain the fact that dinosaurs are deeper in the sedimentary layers and are never found along side human fossils. They have a perfect;y reasonable explanation for this too. Well, Dinosaurs are bigger, Right. And bigger things weigh more. so what happened is that the dinosaurs, The one who lived along side man, Sank deeper in the sedimentary layer when they died and that's why their fossils are always a lot deeper than the fossils of man.

I honestly wish i was making this up. But that is what they genuinely teach children in that filthy house of lies known as the "creation museum".
