OK I have developed christianrapartists.com I have which comes with the google+ and Youtube. I know that on a couple of domain appraisal tools it went up to $150 from the original $75 they said before and the suggested ppc has went up from some change to$12 something. I have also had a video for the site and ranked it in numerous places such as -Christian hip hop- and many others. And the site is gaining traffic from bing search and I know if I develop it more it will rank in Google. The video averages 400 views a day and is climbing right now. My question- Can I sell this site for a good amount, especially if I develop it more? All other suggestions and comments are welcome. I am currently revamping the site
your going to get the same answer as you did on namepros. First of all, your putting way too much value into those appraisal tools. As the domain stands, it's not bad. 1300 exact searches (low but not horrible) and a cpc of $8.18. Building up traffic is certainly the way to go, but if that traffic doesn't translate into cash, than no one is really going to want it. Possibly yourself included. If your serious, develop the site, tack on some adsense ads and sign up as an amazon affiliate. Write a little info on the artist and push the cd sales. Hopefully, christians still buy their music and don't download it lol . I just checked your site, looks like your doing everything i suggested lol. When you have some good sales to report, is when it's time to unload. Until then, don't expect more than the reg fee, if that.
Thanks for your honesty. I haven't had a lot of sales, but not a lot of traffic either. I think it depends on the christian with the downloading thing, whether they consider free downloading songs as stealing or not. lol Anyway I haven't added any adsense because was taught it hearts your rankings. When I changed the site is when I started getting more sales. Design counts, I don't care what anyone says. I am going after this and I believe it will work and I may end up keeping it for my own income anyway. Especially if I figure something else to sell with the site, maybe some add space for the more well known artists or something. Ya never know.
no adsense does not hurt your rankings, after all it is a google product . It may hurt the visitor usability which could translate into lower traffic. I never found anything wrong with sticking an ad here or there if there is a good amount of relevant content on the page. Design definitely matters. If you find your getting more cash as an amazon affiliate and next to nil with adsense, than do away with the adsense, it may just bumb up your amazon sales.
