"I didn't kill her. I killed the demon inside her," Michael Brea said in a chilling hourlong interview with the Daily News in the prison ward at Bellevue Hospital. When told his mother, Yannick Brea, 55, had died in the grisly assault early Tuesday, Michael was unrepentant. "So be it. It was the work of God," he said. "I was sleeping in my bedroom. God came above my bed and reached his arm to me," said Brea, wearing a light-blue prison jumpsuit and slippers. He told his tale while sitting unhandcuffed on a blue chair behind a wood table. "I said, 'God, is my time on earth over?' I heard a voice say, 'Yes Michael, today is your last day.' I asked if I could say goodbye to my family." "I just kept cutting her. No one could stop me. I was doing the work of God," Phew, good job we derive our morality from religion, right? http://www.nydailynews.com/news/ny_...de_her_psycho_tells_news_in_chilling_det.html
Killing someone for not believing in God is not right at all. Even God didn't allow that then how come God came to that sick idiot (psycho) and forced him to kill his mother. Another incident of trying to hide psychopathy behind religion IMO
There is a huge difference between Freemasonary and Christianity. That's the word you're looking for. The devil was inside of him, not his mother.
Gee, here I was expecting to hear it was really a Muslim Yes, this one I would put down to mental illness rather than the religion itself, though he sounds like an extremist and it certainly may have been his religious beliefs that compounded his illness.
Clearly he was mentally unstable, but I still wonder how he viewed it as the will of god if he believed god was telling him it was his last day and he requested some time to say goodbye to his family, then rather than saying goodbye, murdered his mother. If I were god and I came to end your life, take your soul, or whatever - and I gave you the time to say goodbye and you then used that time to kill someone I'd smite you ^-^;
Either way, kill him and be done with it. There's no sense in dragging this pain out for any longer than is absolutely necessary. Keeping this person alive is both an injustice and an act of inhuman cruelty.
Having read the linked story now, I think Stox is right blaming his beliefs, seems it's a family thing. http://www.nydailynews.com/news/ny_...s_unwavering_support_of_his_family_despi.html
