It seems like every week we hear more and more stories about muslim men stoning women, honor killings, etc.
Its a sad fact of todays world. More of a problem in third world countries. Converting to another religion, dating or marrying some body of the wrong religion/caste/color is still way too dangerous. If you look at the 3rd link of my signature you will find an article I wrote about a very similar topic. Even the educated people consider their women as tools to keep family/cultural/societal honor only. Men also have similar problems. But women are at the receiving end by a significant margin.
it also hurts much.. the one thing that islamis should understand that, if they believe that 'allah' is the supreme, thats upto them and is well and good..its upto every religion.. but how can they justify their 'allah' will accept their act of killing and torturing people..
I'm sure the same has been said about Catholics in times past. What can we do to stop religion allowing these types of things to happen? I believe in freedom of religion, my country was founded on that. What I don't agree with is killing innocents in the name of any "God". What is the solution?
