I am in the same position :) I think also what to buy... Maybe you have to look closely at her hobbies...

If you want to get her something sentimental and personalized, try personalcreations
Of course put the www in front of and the .com after :) Not promoting them, I just love them because you can make such personalized gifts that are keepsakes. They make a killing off of me every christmas because I love the idea of doing personalized christmas gifts for my family and friends. They are great and memorable and my family and friends love the gifts I give them. Their products are great. I am saying this because I love them, again not an affiliate for them and make no commission whatsoever by you going to their site. Not only good for christmas but good for all special moments such as weddings, baby showers etc. Check them out. You will love them and they are very well priced. I had my sister a beautiful blanket for sisters where I personalized my own heartfelt message to her. It still hangs on her couch everyday. (I gave it to her 2 years ago) These gifts leave impressions. On another note, not that I didn't try to be an affiliate for them but you have to use linkshare who I hate because I have made sales for affilate programs via linkshare and have never been paid so I don't do it anymore. I just love their products that much (which is why I tried to affiliate for them)

Why don't you ask her in a way that she does not guess.
You might buy her a domain name and can write something good for her.
You can also buy her some mind games etc. :)

I think you should stick with the personal creations still>> Note: I am not leaving a link because I am not promoting. Just someone who found out she had a sister only 2 years ago (my sister was adopted at birth) and my father never knew about her. She went on a search for her birth parents and found us. While I was waiting many long weeks for DNA testing to come back, I just knew in my heart that she was my sister. There was no way that there could be someone else out there so much like me and she not be my sister. I had her the most beautiful blanket and picture frame made (with our very first meeting picture in it) Both had very elegant personally engraved messages and the finished product was beautiful. They are sentimental gifts from the hearts. The site is personalcreations. It is not my site. I don't market them because I hate Linkshare (which is where you need to affiliate with them and I would never waste another moment of time being an affiliate for Linkshare because they don't pay) Put the www behind the website and the .com after. Browse their products. They are great and very well priced and that is from the heart, not from someone trying to sell you something
Note: My instincts were right. DNA testing proved we were sisters and I not only found a sister but found a best friend too!
