    Hey guys/girls

Well Im building out a restaurant search engine. ( http://www.chowMenu.com ) I have the data on every restaurant in the states so its going to be catagorized by city, state, zip and restaurant type.... wanted to see what you though of the logo we did.... the site is not operational till friday so just have a look at the design.

    Thanks!!

Good design and simple layout. I see potential there.

One thing I would change is the slogan; it seems a bit crooked.

yeah Im still playing with it... the overall concept is to have the largest restaurant search engine and for a monthly fee we will give the restaurant access to our site builder so they can include a menu, beverage list, cookbook, coupon generator and top placement in the results... I still need to make some changes on the design though.... Ill update later but thanks for your comments...

Looks good so far, maybe you could simplify it further too many boxes...

That's a great idea, especially for smaller restaurants that are trying to get the most bang for their buck. Im sure you probably have some hard competition like digitalcity.

not really any comp because no1 has the entire US indexed.... the largest directory has like 10K records for california whereas I have over 180K for california... Since we have a surch engine... www.surch.com we spider the net and gather information.... some listings we purchased also. :) but its kinda impossible to make is smaller... I mean people will like searching for a restaurant that is near to them so city state zip is required and giving them a restaurant type is going to be really helpful in narrowing things down... Theres over 2 million restaurants in the US so... sorry cant shrink it.

There is no design, but the logo, so the logo should be really something that expression the completeness. Right I don’t feel that way. I like the idea with stylizing the logo for the restaurant items, however, I don’t like the way it is implemented. I don’t like the bent knife, make straight. The slogan is done in very unreadable font. Menu word tracking is too wide. And there is no the title tag. Good luck!

kassi thanks for hte reponse... I know there really isnt much of a design Im trying to keep it simple like google or something. I dont like cliuttered websites... the knife has to be bent as its the leg of the "W" I tried it with it straight and it didnt come out looking right. here is one of the sub pages though for the results and individual restaurant content. Im thinking about using that "box" with the grey and orange on the homepage... Ill put it up shortly and see what you think. Thanks again...
