i am an SEO beginner.. and my first dilemma is what keywords should i use for my website: http://www.web-starters.net, a site for web designing/developing for NEWBIES.. we offer all the basic things that they should now and have to create their own website.. i know ther'e alot of sites about it.. but i have no other things in mind that would best suit my interest than this.. so i might as well pursue this.. my current keywords are: "web starter, web starters, web creation, website creation, web creation tutorials, website creation tutorials" my current descriptions are: "A website to guide aspiring webmasters on the basic things that they should know and have to create their own website" i am really noob at this.. i know having a website is nothing if it's not known by other people around the web.. and that's my problem
Try using http://keywords.freehostia.com/ I always use it when I want to find some keywords for my site. You can enter your current keywords to see their popularity and Google competition.
just pick the most relevant keywords for your website and check how many people are actually looking for them one of them may be good..Your site is big..you know what I mean its very hard to pick keywords, try to pick the keyword which would describe your site for the home page and after that try to optimize each page for the specific keyword which would describe that particular page..
yeah.. this is my big dilemma.. since my site has many competitors.. but i think i can still pull through hopefully..
