I have been using various keyword tools for seo, however I've been dazzled by the results I used this tool: http://tools.seobook.com/keyword-tools/seobook/index.php And for some search terms is tends to give out some related longer keyword (4-5 word keywords) which are searched 200-300 times per day. It's strange because the keyword terms that are supposedly searched 200-300 times per day are very specific, I doubt that someone would search that exact combination of keywords that many times in one day. for example search for - candida albicans candidiasis remedy dose in the first tool I listed -> http://tools.seobook.com/keyword-tools/seobook/index.php , it says that it's searched around 350 times per day on google. Search the same keyword on keyword discovery -> http://www.keyworddiscovery.com/search.html?query= and it says that there isn't a single search for that keyword daily. Soi I'm dazzled, which keyword tool gives the right results? These two tools give out different results, which one is the correct one or suggest another tool which you know that it gives out legit results
I have had the best results using wordtracker (paid version). I also have tried nichebot which was ok which gives you access to the paid data sources of both wordtracker and keyword discovery. The one thing you need to remeber with these keyword tools is that the data is a few months old. While not relevant to the example you mentioned, it's an important thing to consider for trend or news based keywords. Be well.
Keyword tools are like Insurance companies - the basic coverage is the same, and what you need beyond that dictates which one to use. They are also like the prices of Car Insurance - i.e. nobody is right, whether that someone is Geico or Allstate or Prudential telling you to save $300 a year (how can they ALL claim it?), or keyword tools giving vastly different results. So, like car insurance, pick a keyword tool and use it, and abuse it and trust it as much as on can. And if after 6 months or a year, you are unhappy, move to a new tool, just like you do car insurance. If you try to use more than one tool, you will always end up confused. If you are doing PPC, use the Google tool, otherwise use a tool like KeywordTracker, which has a rolling database of words and looks across many sites to get their results.
Thanks for the info, I guess my best bet would be to use the Google Adwords tool, I will try using that, since its googles, the results from it must be legit
