To be honest, depending on your business of course, but in most cases your best bet is using PayPal. I know it's not the best, but I know tonnes of businesses who loose customers everyday because they simply don't offer it. At the same time I know loads of customers who don't buy anything online unless it has a buy using PayPal option. So, until that changes, always keep the PayPal option open.

As above, PayPal may charge fairly high fees but it is still one of the most widely recognised safe payment method. For the fees they charge it is still cheaper to go with them rather than getting a merchant acount for credit cards, etc.

On all of my stores i use Google Checkout and PayPal as default then select what payment methods i think are suitable for my target market.

PayPal is actually the best because a lot of people use it. But it seems a lot of people get their account limited.

Paypal is best payment processor and majority of people on the internet use it and people get their Paypal account limited by Paypal as they have many chargebakcs and disputes or people go against their TOS :)

I have had lots of problems with paypal refunding money for services offered. I like authorize.net but I haven't been able to ever get them to integrate well into any sites.
