Seriously check their packages out, even cheaper now than what I was paying.

Uptime was excellent, support was some of the tops I ever had.
If they had dedicated servers or VPS I'd still be with them.

I think that 20GB would be ok. Bandwith, I have no idea. It will mainly be text on my site, and I hope to get 1000 unique visitors per day. Don't know how much bandith that is.

Might be a great price, but out of my budget ($45/mo). Thanks anyway. :)

    Thanks,
    Kalle :)

20 GB is an insane amount of space that you will more than likely never use btw ;)
This depends on what you're running of course, but most sites do not use much space at all.

You can't determine bandwidth by visitors alone, hosts also use different methods of determining bandwidth.

For this type of sites you said you want to host i would say you need 1-2Gb per month
Text and normal pics don't need much bandwidth
Large files, videos, swf and other like that may boost the numbers

Will check them out, thank you :)

Ok, I was going to say a higher amount at first ;) But its hard for me to figure out how much space I will use. But 20GB will be enough for a long time, so I don't have to upgrade / be worried of using up all the space.

Ok, so a bandwith with about 5GB to be secure :)

20 gb is more than I am using for over 100 sites, a decent sized forum, multiple online stores, dozens of email accounts, plus the software of the servers and backups combined.

It may not appear like much from a computer stand point, but 20 gigs is a TON of storage for websites. Unless you are offering a hosting service or something, it really is way more than you will need.

1 gig even would do you just fine for a long time to come IMO

I run a web hosting service and 20 Gigs is a lot of space, the majority of people use less then a gig of space. Bandwidth will very depending on traffic and what you have on your site in terms of graphics and videos and things of that nature.

Thanks for your answers. Dreamhost has what I need :D

Price: 9.95$ / mo at a one year sign up for package 1. (5 cents from the limit :))

    Regarding the Storage and Bandwith:

Storage at Signup: 196GB - Increased by 1GB / week
Monthly Bandwith at Signup: 1.965 TB - Increased by 16GB / week.

And they have all the php and MySQL things that I wanted.

Btw: Could the Monthly Bandwith be right? Isn't that an insane amount of bandwith? How could they possibly afford that much Bandwith and Storage for that small amount of money?

You could check it at http:// dreamhost.com/hosting.html, I might have misunderstood the Bandwith thing.

    Thanks,
    Kalle :)

Kalle I don't know much about dream host, however the phrase 'you get what you pay for' rings true in hosting.

I highly doubt they are trully going to give you that much bandwidth or storage for that small of a price. That is more than what most dedicated servers come with costing a few hundred dollars a month. It appears to be another spin off of the 'unlimited' or 'unmonitored' space and bandwidth.

You trully should be looking at quality of hosting over wow this place gives me more space than I will ever use.
