Choosing an affiliate network as merchant

I'm choosing an affiliate network for a merchant company. I did search the forum, but did not find out the "best" solution in my case.

In the past I've used a third party script to manage the affiliate program. It works fine, but found it takes quite a lot of time and other resources. My goals are different than managing technology.

I'm looking for a solution to outsource the affiliate management, and at the same time targeting for a global international affiliate base.

My question is, what affiliate management service you guys recommend from merchant point of view, is it Commission Junction, TradeDoubler, LinkShare or something else?

Your opinions highly appreciated, thanks! :)

PS. the service in question is in Europe, the original Santa Claus letters from Finnish Lapland (santagreeting.fi) ...but the market is totally global.

I was using TradeDoubler last year, and I don't recommend it. I don't trust on their track system: I bought a PC from my own links and they didn't count that sell. Also their payment method is too rigid.

The product is the original Santa Claus Greeting Letter sent all over the world from Finnish Lapland. The letter has been sent during the last seven years in 15 languages to 150+ countries. The high season is short but active, from 1st. of November to 15th. December.

Hope this helps, more information from the web site

    Thanks for your opinions, appreciated!

There's a some affiliate software listed here where some of them are remoted hosted and the affiliate program is managed by the owners of the software: http://www.affiliateseeking.com/affiliate-software/1.html

Don't know if that's of any interest. If not then there is a large list of affiliate networks on this site also where all of them will accept you as a merchant I am sure.

Hope you find what you are looking for anyway.

    All the best.

Thanks John and Dave, your input appreciated.

I have two targets in my mind:

1.) to get rid of the headaches of running the technology on house
2.) to get a reasonable number of effective affiliates globally

I understand there might be a heavy price tag in the services those affiliate networks (CJ, LinkShare etc.) offer?

I would also recommend the shareasale affiliate network. There is more information about what ShareASale offers merchants and how much it costs in the link that I gave in my last post.

With ShareASale, as soon as you put your affiliate program up you will already have it put infront of a large group of affiliates that already know how to earn money online. One bit of advice though is that if you are selling quite a few products, then a datafeed is a very good thing to allow your affiliates to use. This will help you to also get on some product price comparison type sites / general product listing sites.

Hope you do well with this.

    Good luck.
