Guess it's too late, but you can use iLister's CMS. Even though it's a classified script per se, its CMS gives you a chance to assign any url to any content. Want it .com/Christianity/catholicism.html or .com/Christianity/catholicism/ - no probs. Keywords and description for every page, WYSIWYG editor. You may find good use of the classifieds or category sections, or even use listings as article items, removing all fields but title and description. Treating it as a classifieds site with articles under cats and subcats you set up will give you the ability to use bread crumbs, browsing for good search engine optimization, ability to allow registered users to collaborate (and prevent spammers and abusers by setting a price for a listing to $0.01 to send article for pre-moderation). May be too late for you, but can be helpful for someone else.
