I previously did an article about choosing your seo company, where I also did a case study.

Do any of you want to share some feedback ?

You also forgot to talk about "money" ... some SEO firms will rubber you thousants of dollars for some links costing a few hudrents a year... or even less... there was a guy here very nervouse afirm that he paid 2,500 a month to a person that "only made post in guestbooks for getting links to his website"...

" You have every reason to wonder why this site has no page rank! Find out more?"

You click on the link and you get :

his is a mini-site used as a direct ‘business card' for responses from various marketing approaches that we undertake. By using a mini-site in this way we have achieved a far more targeted response rate to our SEO related marketing campaigns – at the same time enabling the site visitor to clearly and easily find the information regarding search engine optimization.

The reason we use this method is because Optimal Optimization is part of an IT group that has many facets, including web design and rewritable websites, school extranets, software design and software outsourcing (utilizing our facilities at our China Office), copywriting and SEO and SEM.

Therefore, this site is solely related to the communication you've received from us, and is designed so you can quickly find the SEO information you are looking for rather than being an optimized site itself. In addition to this we firmly believe that our clients optimization should come first at all times and we're happy to let our proven results for them do the talking – after all, that is what they are paying us for.

Here's just a snapshot of our clients' successes using their chosen search terms:

Search term: ‘Engineering jobs' - Top 10 on Google.com and co.uk, Yahoo and MSN

Search term: ‘Chinese art’ – Top 10 on Google.com and .co.uk, Yahoo and MSN

Search term: ‘Graphic design company’ – Top 10 on Google.co.uk, Yahoo and MSN

Search term: ‘Water coolers’ – Top 10 Google.com, .co.uk, Yahoo and MSN

Search term: ‘Travel England’ – Top 10 Google.com, .co.uk, Yahoo and MSN

Email us to contact these and other very satisfied clients.

Those are the 3 qualities of a great seo. Seo's should make a contract out and say if they dont get the rankings within that stated amount of time they will keep working for free until they achieve that ranking. This is what my seo has been doing and his customers love him for it, they should love him more to let him show his work though but we are working on that. when my gambling related affiliate site makes it to the top im ready to retire hehehehehe

SEO is about money, if it isn't then you're in the wrong business. If you want to pussy around with it, play games and charge $50 a month with a guarantee. If you know what you are doing, charge what it's worth.

In MY opinion, here's what makes a good SEO: Honest, Dedicated, Customer-Driven.

Honest means they won't lie about what work they've done, or their expectancy of your ranking improving.

Dedicated means that they are dedicating their time to your site, and not just using some program to automate it all.

Customer-Driven means that the SEO cares about your site succeeding.

I charge what I am worth, I've been in this "game" for a long time, if you ever need help, just ask.

All of the honesty, dedication and service is right but what I expect my customers to ask is to see provable results. Without the proof in the pudding don't expect to win the job. Softgroups above shows some search terms for clients, but are these all they have? I like to brag because when I take on a client I make sure they have the ability to monopolize their market by the listings I get them. Link: umbrellatechnologies.net/proven-seo-listings.php - go take a look at this page, I wish every SEO company would prove their listings, problem is most SEO companies can't get their clients listings on this scale. Listings like this make a company grow!!

I wouldn't trash Softgroups, your keyphrases are good but not impressive, any SEO worth their money should be able to get into the top 10 for industry niche keyword phrases.
