I am considering on making a blog about a game or a sport niche. Which has the higher payment and clickthrough rate?

    Gaming, terrible.

Sports, depends on the sport. If it's a sport that sells equipment, then this can prove quite successful, such as tennis equipment or table tennis tables etc etc..

Sports, definitely. Golf would be a good niche.

I would think sport as well, since gaming is known to be one of the lowest paying niche. But even sport I wouldn't do it. I only have one site in sport (bodybuilding and diet) because I was interested in it and I believe that's the best you can get as far as sports go. Golf might be good, but is there the needed traffic for it?

Yeah, the keywords "golf clubs, golf club, club golf" get pretty decent traffic.

I would go with sports. You could also promote event tickets too. As one stated CPC is an indicator of converting but it may be there is a lot of competition but that is not always the case. I have found some nice niches with high CPC and low competition.

don't just blindly choose the niche. make sure you can rank high and get visitors. i just built a small site for a keyword that's not very well paid but ranked very high in google (page 1, 9th link) in few days with only two backlinks. i'm going to use this site to connect to my other sites which will have better paying keywords.

GameFly would also be a good affiliate program for the game niche.

Obviously sports would be better than gaming, but still its probably not the best niche to go after unless you are really into a certain sport and can pump out quality content on it. If you're going to have to put in research to do it, I would find something that would be more profitable for my time.

What kind of game site are you looking at? Computer games, console games, or real games like baseball?

I suggest you stay away from computer and console gaming. The market is so flooded, your going to have a lot of trouble tapping into it.

I believe targeting baseball keywords will offer higher payments, your clickthrough will depend on your website/blog design and SEO ability

Forget about the "high paying" niche crap. Create a Blog that has to do with "what you know" to develop a following and give you the ability to continue posting. If you know alot about 2 or more subjects, then create 2 or more blogs. The fact is IF THERE IS NO TRAFFIC, THERE IS NO CTR. Good luck and hope this helped!
