Hi, how can I choose a keyword ?
I know this question was asked so many times, but I still don't understand how.
Every body will say use the google keyword tool external, but the problem is how ?

I can find how many searches that keyword have, but:
How to know if it is competitive or not ?
How to compare it to another keyword ?
And can I compare keywords from different niches ( to choose a niche and a keyword in the same time) ???

Thank you friend, I really searched a lot before asking, but always the same answer: use keyword tools :(.

I believe the above will explain most of the questions you have.

I found an interesting solution that helps me to find the keyword and understand how the competitive market is.

There is a problem with small niche - Google doesn't provide information on the small traffic. Let's say I want to create a site with the keywords 'real estate for ducks'. Google tells me that the traffic is very small and cannot be estimated. The solution is to create an ad by using Ad Words service and then assign the ad to 'real estate for ducks' keywords. Once it is done - you will get the information on the impressions (i. e. number of the requests in Google). Please also note that you can check whether there are competitors simply by entering the keywords 'real estate for ducks' and making sure that there are (or 'are no') ads from different sites attached to the keywords.

There is no doubt about it.

Your questions are answered by a tool called Market Samurai.

They have costless tutorials explaining you in very great detail how to evaluate keywords and how to choose them in function of your need.

They also show you how to determine which keyword not to choose (because it will involve too much work to rank well, for example)

Understanding keywords is crucial, so invest a little in some study time on this topic and you will find this time will produce great investment returns!

    Just my 2 cents though.:)

    Hi..
I will suggest you to choose the keyword relevant to your business and business place. That will help you to get more local business. And for local search competition will also be not more so if we will do less work we can get results for that soon!

It is a great question, because "good" choice of keywords is as essential to the nternet business as a map for a ship.

If you base your website on a "bad" set of keywords, you will get no trafic and/or sales later.

    Back to business.

You can use Google keyword tool for free, or any other one you like, for a payment. The difference between them is very slight.

Step 1. Define your "core" keyword first.
Step 2. Based on this word, make a list of long tail keywrords - up to 20.
Step 3. Search on Google by entering keywords in "quotation marks".
Step 4. Choose those that have less than 10,000 searches (i.e. those that have no well established competitors)
Step 5. If you are left with less than 20 long tail keywords, repeat steps 2,3,4 till you have 20 long tail keywords
Step 6. Optimise your page(s) based on these 20 keywords.
    Step 7. Promote your site.
