A .com would always be the better option, relate it to what your website has to offer. The shorter the better.

It is really better if you use a name that is very specific on what products or services that you have.
You can also use some tools for it, and i have some free tools for it.

Nowadays it is more difficult to find a short and aproppriate domain name ... I had an idea to find it in old books where you might find specific names of something )
As for my website my dad helped me in someway )))

It is still possible to score a nice brandable domain, that is if your willing to pay the premium fee for it.

Totally agree with you. If it's a well thought out project, I would outlay $2000 for a domain.

try and get shorter domain names
.com or .net are the best imo
and try not to have hyphens

A good place to start is domainhole.com
You can customize length, use different tld's, and check if any domains your interested in are expiring.
