As there have been many threads about choosing a product for CB marketplace, I am looking at compiling a list of factors that go into deciding how to choose a product. So... if experienced CB affiliate marketers can help to compile this list I think it would be a useful addition to the ebook that Amycheung is looking at producing from the thread at: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=734680 There are already some things mentioned on there on how to choose a product and this would simply compile a list of different ways people can choose a product if they are not using a PPC method of promotion. Choosing a product for PPC: 1. Avoid highly competitive products that are saturated with PPC competitors (internet marketing etc) 2. Avoid products that break any Adwords TOS (gambling, trademarked etc) 3. Vendor site shouldn't have a Pop-up 4. Product has a low refund rate - calculated as: refund rate % =100*(1-(A/((B-B*0.075-1)*C/100))) where A=$/sale, B=Product Price, and C=%/sale 5. Merchant has an opt-in email capture form 6. The product has a high $/sale - usually $20+ 7. Merchant sales page has no leakage (irrelevant outbound links) 8. Merchant only offers ClickBank Payment option The above 8 are relating to how to choose a product when you are using PPC method and it would be nice to also have the list more comprehensive or with alternative ways to choose a product. In addition, it would be nice to get a list together on how to select a product when you are not using PPC methods.
