chkdom.com - Check your domain

I put all the things I check for when a domain or site is up for sale or interesting onto one page. Got tired of running around from site to site to investigate.

I put about 6 hours into the app, I just started writing it today.

Any other things people check for? Any other ideas for a domain checker app? Any suggestions for user interface, error checking etc?

Cool tool! I'll use it again.

One note: I put in "example.com" and I was confused as to why 0 backlinks where showing.. how about a link that says "Maybe you meant to try 'www.example.com'?"

Since I don't know what HU cards are, I'm going to have to say no :) ohh those are satellite cards, right? Definitely not me.

An idea... rather than one long scrollable page, what if you loaded the different sections into invisible DIV blocks and then let the user hit a button to make each div invisible / visible... so you can get the data you want without having to scroll.. I don't care about future PR predictions myself but the other stuff is good.

....or if you don't like the DIVs, what about checking the page size of the URL you are loading.. that way if it is a small page, you don't need to display the full size iframe.. like with the example above, the PR predictors only have one line but take up a lot of room with the frame.

I've been messing with the iframe resizing but having a bitch of a time since it's coming from an external source. Good idea about expanding it!

a very impressive tool. should be in everyones bookmarks. i like the way the information is presented all in one page; saves clicking about. i think it just needs a bit of 'presentation' design work to finish it off.

    congrats!
