Chitika or Adsense? .. or both?

I just got a "special invitation" to join Chikitas premium program, and was wondering how this is compared to Adsense? What's your own experiences with Chikita, do they pay more or less or somewhat the same as adsense? Is the CTRs better or worse? And how is it to run both Adsense and Chikita at the same time, do this give you more than running any one of them on their own?

    Cheers!

Well I accepted the invitation so I'll try it out on some of my sites and see how fair it is. Still would appreciate some stories about other peoples experience with it though, and any useful tips or other information related to it.

    Thx

    BOTH!
I dont think Chitika will ever pay as high as Adsense, but using them together is a great way to increase your overall earnings.

How do you put the adsense and chitika ads together, do you have for example an adsense banner on top of the page and chitika on bottom? Or on the sides etc.

What type of ads do they serve compared to adsense, and how well does the two blend in together? Do they have something that is more favorable in situations where adsense is less favorable etc?

    Thanks for the info, cheers

ya know, i only use Chitika "Linx" ads, which are in-text ads so I was referring to those, not realizing that i'm probably one of the only publisher that uses their In-Text system.

If using their "premium" (or whatever they're called) ads together with Adsense, take care that the Chitika ads do not mimick and cannot be confused with Adsense ads - that would be a violation of the Adsense TOS ..

As long as you use adsense text only, I don't think it will violate the TOS. They will be completely different.

As for chitika linx, it is good for a long post since the ads only appear on certain words.

Ok Im testing chitika now and have done so for some days. It has a really nice feature that lets you use Chitika ads to be displayed for visitors that it qualifies for, and for other users Adsense will be displayed instead if you want (or any other ad for that matter).

Very useful as this helps to minimize amount of ads on the page as it will either show the Adsense or the Chitika depending on what is most useful.

When it comes to who qualifies for Chitika ads, it is people coming from search engine traffic from the US, Great Britain and Canada if I remember correctly.

This all refers to the Premium system, I have no idea how their other systems work.

The CTR is very high, because the ads will show ads related to what the visitors searched for in the search engines before clicking in on the site so it will show ads specifically addressed to their search and not the content of the page itself which often can be completely different than what they were actually searching for.

So far it seems very nice and useable and the CTR it generates is higher than my adsense for same traffic so great way to increase income on this specific traffic.

Yes I agree that using both is best - (I'm using Adsense and Chitika Premium - not the in-text links).

Thanks for reminding me about Chitika. I was planning on joining up before but never ended up doing so. So do people earn more with it? I'm with adsense and adbrite

I definitely earn more with it - they are my #2 source of revenue (behind Adsense).

They might even earn as much as Adsense if they would show to all of my traffic but the premium ads only show to search traffic.

Both without doubt, and because you can show alternative ads to non us search traffic, it's really a matter of trying and see if it converts on your site.
