Chitika Linx revenue dropped drammatically in the last 10 days

    Hi everyone,
    I don't know if it is the case for you guys. I hope it is not. We were very happy with Chitika Linx, been earning around $50 for 13,000 page impressions. And then, 10 days ago, our linx revenue went all the way down to $10, $11. The strange thing is that even though we did not change anything at our end, the impression went to only more than 4,000. I checked the pages that normally had Linx appear, they no longer do.

    The second thing that was also strange happened in middle of Feb when we just started with linx and decided to implement the code on more pages since it performed quite well on some pages tested earlier. And guess what, the revenue did not go up at all, actually a little bit, but nothing if compared to impressions increase from 4,000 to 45,000.

    We have more than 130,000 daily page impression and it would be good if every 13,000 impressions generate as $50. But life is never easy, isn't it???

    I have contacted Chitika and Lisa, our account manager, said she has taken this into account but still no more reply. Once I got further news, I will let you guys know.

    Anyone reported some similar patterns??????

    I saw your post. We did make a number of changes to the Linx product recently. We detailed these changes on the Chitika forum pages - unfortunately I cannot copy links into this forum (I don't have privileges to do so) but if you go to chitika's site and click on the forum tab at the top of the home page and then clink on the Linx thread, you can read about the changes that were put into effect around 3/21/2008. We had to make changes based upon the advertisers who support the Linx product.

    Thanks Jeff for your reply. However, I think our problem might not be related to the changes that you mentioned. The reason being is that we only started experiencing the drop in 25/03 and the changes took place 5 days before. During the period from 21/03 to 24/03, everything was normal for us.

    I am pretty sure you still remember my Chitika ID as you contacted me before, it would be great that you double check our account in the system, we really want to know the reason behind all this. Thanks alot Jeff
