Yeah, I've been doing this with Amazon.com. Helps you figure out what keywords to use. I'll try shopping.com too. Thanks.
Don't think keywords think products, that way you can point your customers to specific products. I labeled above my eMiniMall "Recommended Products" so clients would know that these are items I'm recommending. http://illusionsetc.blogspot.com
It's all well and good to find high paying keywords - but really they won't do well on a site that has no relevancy to them. I'm finding the best bet is to point to relevant ads to your content - just like Adsense does. Relevancy will increase CTR which wil increase earnings. So the question isn't 'which keywords work best' but rather what keywords are relevant to my site?
Exactly! I have found that by placing multiple Chitka ads on my website I am able to choose a specific product for each single ad and am able to target my website readers very well. This works especially well for my site
If you're targeting down to a product level, why not just go with a regular affiliate program for that product? I would think the payouts would be much higher. On the other hand, it's a lot more work, unless you use something like Golden Can.
I have found that with affiliate programs you first have to get the visitor to click the ad and then purchase an item. The conversion rate for this type of transaction is very small from my experience. I prefer to get the revenue from that first click.
yeah I'm more of a payment for click man myself - although have been getting better at the affiliate thing too. In fact I think that they can work together really well and have been expanding things into the affiliate direction a bit lately. It certainly is rewarding if you can pick the right affiliate program and get some conversions!
I can understand that. I'm actually more of an affiliate who's starting to do AdSense and Chitika so it's interesting to hear the other side.
My blogs are about products (gadgets & toys). I experimented with targetting my chitika ads to my blog titles to keep things relevant and my CTRs have gone up up up! Too bad my traffic is still low low low... but it does give an impressive 40% CTR!!!
The ads look really nicely implemented in your toys blog. It's not hard to see why your CTR is so high. Especially those posts where the bigger image is exactly the same as the ad's!
I try to find different images to complement each other but it seems that everyone gets the same promo images. But it does help to have the same images as a kind of follow through I guess... have to wait for chitika to implement channels to find out which is working best.
Thanks for the compliment. Remember to cross-check your blog post title with the chitika demo unit at chitika.com to see what ads you get.
I'm using chitika eminimall like izahan from about 4 days and my revenue is increased 4X/5X This is a great use of chitika !
