Will I have applied twice now in the past 8 months to the yahoo publiser program, haven't had one response back yet........

I applied Sun afternoon to: Chitika - this morning (tues) I get an email saying my site was rejected - for one of a million possible reasons.

Jeepers maybe AdSense is all the choice we may have - Any other great programs ?

I thought Chitika was pretty easy to get into - is there anything special at all about your site?

I havn't really heard anything good about anything other than YPN and Chitika.

Tried mailing them back for further explanation? I guess they have a right to deny who they want but still.

How about fastclick or tribalfusion? I myself got denied for those, but your luck might be better.

I've always found Chitika very responsive to emails and it certainly won't hurt to ask. Another source of income you might want to consider is the various affiliate programs (check out www.cj.com) and as you specialise in software Amazon may work for you.

A new contextual service launched not that long ago (a couple of weeks?) called AdGenta.

Like Chitika it seems to be driven through keywords specified by the publisher. You can customize sizes and colour, just like the others. Interestingly the ads are actually served as images, rather than plain text. Looks like ads are provided by Miva (formerly FindWhat.com). Here's a blurb from their tour:

bluegill_catcher, when you say software, is there any reference to hacker type stuff anywhere on the site? They seem particularly cautious about that. Apart from one webmaster here in DP I know of two others who can't run Chitika for precisely that reason.

No nothing abouot hackers and hacking etc, this software is databases and custom collecting tools for hobbies, coin collections, stamp collecting etc. I am still hopeful when yahoo launches, they will accept me.

I'm using fastclick alongside adsense and chitika now and my earning from fastclick is quite good since that my site receive more than 6,000 visitors a day...

So fastclick or tribal fusion will really work if you have high traffic site

I thought Chitika was pretty easy to get into too. Hmm...

AdGenta looks good, but I'd give it more time before testing them out.

I'd ask Chitika to take another look at it - they are usually pretty good
