nice looking? do you know how many of them have had head gasket failures upon reaching 40,000 miles? most, lol For a jap car 40k is a jog in the park. I know a couple of rover 25 owners who complain that the car leaks water to the rear cabin and gearbox failure in first couple of months
Just got rid of my first "Jap" car. Leaking oil onto the exhaust pipe by 40k, couldn't pass SMOG (California certification) at 5 years. It was blowing clouds of smoke if it wasn't used only at freeway speeds. The 1989 Chevrolet this 2000 (brand of car popular in rice rocket movies) replaced didn't leak oil and passed SMOG for 12 years. Oh, the Chevy cost half of the sushimobile and I could buy replacement parts at about 25% the cost of the car that came from the land of tora, tora, tora. I am glad that my garage has a Saturn and a Dodge in it now and no oil on the floor. Don't save me a spot on line at the Chinese dealership.
lol nice post tbarr60, ur obviously confusing ur rover for a jap car, lol well u always get an odd one dont u.
No, Rover hasn't done much in the states other than Land Rover but I think that's part of Ford now. Ever since Toyota bribed its way to its first quality award in the US, they (and all other Japanese cars) have had a free pass on every defect they have. People will deny they have problems but you let them talke a bit and it comes out. I had a co-worker who said is Subaru went 200,000 miles without a problem, later he mentioned he had to rebuild the engine at 120,000, I guess that's like rotating the tires. I have a Lexus mechanic friend who preaches the wonders of Toyota/Lexus and how they are free from defect. Let him talk a little longer and he'll mention how every RX 330 needs to have it's transmission replaced almost as it rolls off the boat.
whoa, i learnt something new today...pretty interesting...cause land rover is quite successful, and trustworthy, and some ppl are saying rover is not reliable
That wikipedia page links to one on Land Rover that describes its quality problems. The Chinese bought some recognizable brands that have some good qualities but bad quality and reliability issues. Companies like Hyundai have spent the last twenty years overcoming their bad quality reputations.
i like mazda alot but only the last 5 years....when they came with mazda 6 , 3 etc... before that they wernet great
over here in the UK Hyundai offer 5 years warranty, not sure but think hyundai is korean? anyone correct me on this please?
Hyundai and Kia are the 2 giants from South Korea...and samsung is the next one trying to get in car industry from there
oh rite so i wasn't too far off, cool. the hyundai coupe luks really nice, my wife was thinking of getting one, but she went for the mini instead! which aint arrived yet, lol. i like the look of the hyundai coupe, even the old one, nice engine sizes too.
i dont understand why ppl feel they can just hate other nations like china so easily the chinese arnt fundamental islamic terrorist.. they didnt do anything violent to the west, and never forced anothing culturally over the west, they never asked any help from the west all they did is offer cheaper goods to the western people which directly benefits customers...and for the business owners that see them as a threat... cmon...you know what a capital market it! and u know what competition is
