China has developed a "Social Credit", similar to a credit score. Each person is tracked and penalized for such things as "Jay-walking" and doing things wrong. They can then be banned from owning a car, flying or train travel, or using dating sites, for example. What are your thoughts? Would you want this in your country? https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2018/03/24/chinas-social-credit-system-bans-millions-travelling/
That’s horrible, I would not want that in America. We have restrictions on drivers licenses, buying guns, and some jobs don’t allow felons. That’s similar to “Social Credit” in a way. Also being on probation is a form of social credit also, people on parole or probation have travel restrictions. Looks like we actually have that in America, never thought of it as social credit.
Lol different name for the same prejudice, yet the same people demand unequal treatment when they want something for themselves or their family. People have to learn how to be more kind and less full of judgement, since everyone is guilty of causing something someone else would find unpleasant.
The US has something similar, with respect to restrictions, in the Registry. But yeah, felons have a very tough time finding jobs or places to live. However, the Chinese thing is more widespread. I could imagine it being a thing in the US eventually.
