Hi, I'm a Chicago-based writer - born here, English is my first language - with a masters degree in journalism. I'd like to start taking on freelance web content writing jobs. I'm an excellent writer, I understand keywords and how to find and identify quality keywords, I know how to do deep research if necessary and I can write easy to read, understandable copy. So, where do i begin? What do I charge? Oh, and I have a paypal account, is that how all of you accept payment? Thanks I'm sure I'll think of more to ask, but like I said...I want to get started.
Hi ChgoWriter You definitely have some good credentials that should make adapting easy. Do you mean by content writing: Homepage rewriting for keyword content, advanced article writing, PR releases, or much harder to master items such as sales pages for opt-ins and product sales? Rather than trying to take away from your post, I can give you some high income ideas, and other posts. I can be contacted for Free. Your knowledge of keywords, and deep research are a big plus, but I cannot tell if you are referring to deep research about long tail keywords, monthly searches, and outside competition before you start to write. Mark and others here can give you good advice about the more advanced areas of copywriting. Hopefully some of the quality posters here, not just looking for stars, can also provide help because they want to.
Hi, thanks for responding. I guess to get started, I'm thinking of advanced article writing and homepage writing. I'm really open to anything. Also, when I mentioned "deep research," I was talking about very well researched articles...as a journalist researches subjects...not so much about keyword research. I, however, do understand keyword usage and density etc. In other words, I'm a good writer and a good subject researcher. My writing is far better than most I see on the web. So, what's next for me?
