I observed most of the members here are from India, just wondering how popular is the current chess champion Vishwanathan Anand at your country? I am not from India by the way and as I know chess is not that popular at India?

I play chess at times but a lot of sports fans will surely feel bored watching 2 individuals in front of a board with no physical action, purely mind games.

I agree, a lot of people think Chess is boring, but I personally find it very entertaining. The fact that there's so many strategic planning involved in each move, it can get really intense. I always try to go for the 5 move checkmate. If that doesn't work, then it'll require me to think :p
