I dont expect anyone to take my advice but i would advise to let go a little, let go of the old days, you guys should know more than most that if you dont move quickly your left behind, your minds are stuck in your comfort zones. Nobody here has liked reading the trolls repetitive remarks but some more established members keep going on about how it used to be, i mean c'mon its a forum people have private lives too, they leave for various reasons. Il stand up and say some left to avoid questions from people, some left because they just wanted too, David of phpld has an established script and forum so he has no need to hang out here anyway. Ive never heard of one of the guys mentioned. Dont flatter yourselves into thinking that here is the only place where tensions and conflict arise, i dont think ive ever seen a forum yet without what you guys complain about. Put your hard hat on, stop being so over sensitive, accept that people will challege you as people here do to others. You can fight to get anyone you dont like banned but there will always be 100 more waiyting to take their place and come and annoy you in some way. Also you need to get a grip BG, its like your saying that if a post doesn't fit how you think that an individual shouldn't post it, everything on a forum is constructive it creates response, reaction and changes. You tried to suggest here that people should forget all about pr, because it suits you no longer? and i challenged you about that too and suggested you would be wise not to attempt that. Im afraid i cant pretend to be someone else to you, id rather tell you whats on my mind, show you the real me and if i feel others are misguiding someone (at least in my eyes) then i feel im being contructive by intervening with a different opinion if neccessary.
Uncle pipes, chillout. I agree to you, but on these forums are ppl and ppl. I don't want to give some examples here because it is not nice, but there are only few members who really helped & help the n00bs regarding directories, and you know who they are. Some here are posting pure experience, some are posting like they have diarrhea or something, some are spammers only, some come in here thinking that they can get some clients, etc. PS: why do you think that some of the great dir owners quitted these forums ? I think they were sick about what they were seeing here...
I think there are as many "great dir owners" still in these forums posting I have seen a lot of people making the mistake of thinking because you have a lot of cash to invest that you somehow are contributing something positive.. they contribute cash to other directory owners but ultimately to themselves the "good old days" in reality were not so good as is mentioned since what they gave us were the penalties we are dealing with now I personally would rather have things how they are now..yes theres more arguments but its a sign people say what they think some have agendas for all different reasons on here, I see it, lots of people see it but I still think everyone should be able to speak and the rest make up their minds this forum is certainly no different than others either as for downunder leaving well he said similar before and I stated then he shouldnt but if he must he must..im sure he will be around like pipes says and for BG..well I think most people see you in a different light lately..so keep it up
Hi hyper dont worry im already chilled, it was just a response, im not here to be controversial or upset anything, well i already stated above why i believe some have gone, its a forum so i dont expect the same people to stick around forever, people come, people go, if a place still has what i need then i stay, thats whu im still here, too much here not to visit it daily. Theres no great directory owners, only owners of various sized directories and various budgets, no single one is great, they serve different purposes to different peoples needs. I still dont understand why people make such a big fuss if they dont see the kind of threads they used to see, why not just go and work on your projects instead, when you come back theres probably something here for you. For all the guys here missing their mates, why dont you go and ask them yourselves why they wont come and post, stop blaming people who were not even members here when this apparent good time existed. Or ultimately why not create a completely private forum in a hidden corner of the internet and give access to those guys repeatedly mentioned and keep out all that you dont desire to share space with and keep your forum free from anything you dont want.
