if concerned about drive failure peruse google for brandnamehere failire rate. what is best depends on exactly your present location, needs, instant time of purchase, available ports. i bought a lacie xtreme or some sort. u can also purchase an enclosure and 3.5 " internal frive seperately and assemble in - 3 minutes. by the time u reas this post hardrive prices will have dropped nearly a dime.
seagates 3.5 in 1tb line was most unseagately irronically bcuz of higher than competitors failure rate. i would recommend samsung only as thet were the firSt to market with reliablemarket on this particular battlefield
use a search engine. I'm not writing a phd thesis here ;o http://www.pcbuyersguide.co.za/showthread.php?t=9257 plz keep in mind this was happening alot when the 1TB drive from them was new.. I just don't like to take unnecessary risks. here i did another google search just for u.. at least one minute in duration! much better link http://www.tomshardware.com/news/seagate-7200.11-failing,6844.html
