Cheeky Bugger...

I have a site up at opengseo.com, if you go to orderedhost.com they have completely piggy backed my site.

I am finding it hard to find out from whois who this...er....is.

What does everyone feel..that I am am getting a few back links from the cheeky sods (that's how I found out) so chill, or that the duplicate content hassle I'll eventually get from Google will be bad so get them off of my back.

You can see how they are benefiting because without doing any work they have a bunch of PR4 pages already, with Google seemingly unaware of the scam.

The site is being nicked in real time, it has not been downloaded and I am not sure how they do it. If I make any changes they are reflected immediately on the orderedhost site.

How do I stop this?

Report it to Google and tell them your story so they will de-index it.

According to a plug-in i have on firefox that shows a sites IP addy, both sites look to be on the same server, so it could just be that the second one is pointing to the wrong directory ? in which case send support at your web host a support ticket.

Well, A quick look shows that BOTH of these domains are on the SAME SERVER. Now, even more interesting is the traceroute....

    traceroute to orderedhost.com (216.70.125.56)
    .
    .
    .
    opengseo.com (216.70.125.56)

MMM - I smell a rat - or someone trying to promote BOTH of their domain names.

I would hazard a guess that you own both domains - the fact that the nameservers for both domains is the same, and that both domains are on the same server just doesn't give your claim much validity - either this or it is your own host who is ripping your site...

I looked both sites over. Hard to tell if they copy site. I am suprised that the image would work if they did not copy it to thier site.

I wonder if it is affiliate site that is useing to different domain names.

I would still think its just a dns setup error or the hosts file on the server
(even tho my rep here shows 2 reds)

Would be intrested to hear what it was once it's found.
