it is handled by yahoo's chosen law firm - so no privacy issue

I got the same letter (3 of them)

what's more concerning to me, is how in the hell did they acquire all three of my accounts information on where to send via regular mail ?

Well I don't know about you, but my letters have all come from Checkmate, not Yahoo. Unless they supoened (SP?) all the records from all Yahoo Search Marketing.

I got a letter in the mail as well...looks legit. The 5 mil covers "Legal fees" then there will be a settlement divided by everyone who wants into the lawsuit.

So basically everyone will get $0.93 each to spend as you see fit. We all should get together and reject the settlement :)

Actually, you should all get together and reject the settlement :)

I think the money gained will be a credit to your Yahoo account...not sure, I haven't read the full thing yet.

Yahoo had to give them the records of its client base to give them the opportunity to participate. I will be rejecting it. Y!sm does ok by me.

I've received a letter today too. I used overture for a very short period, but didn't spend enough to warrant taking legal action against them.

I've received the postal mails to my house address. I just don't care about this checkmate settlement.

Do I have to explicitly send a notice to them that I should be excluded? What could happen otherwise, if I just leave it?

I live in Singapore and I just don't want to be part of this. What would "inaction" mean in this case?
