Hey All, To improve your Google Adwords campaigns here are 8 quick things to check which could be costing you a lot of money. Conversion tracking is setup - the only way to improve your Adwords ROI is with conversion tracking, don't start a campaign without this enabled. Campaigns are set to target just Search or just Display network. The default is 'Google Search With Display Select' which is not good for your performance. Manual bidding is enabled - don't let Google set your bids with automated bidding or you will pay a fortune per click. Set your ads to rotate - the default is to allow Google to continue showing the ad which gets clicked the most, this may not be the one that converts the highest however so ensure you set your ads to rotate. Not checking search terms - don't rely on the keywords in the keywords tab, to properly optimise your campaigns check the actual search terms used, you'll be surprised at the low quality terms that are triggering your ad. Go to Details -> Search Terms -> All. Using Broad match keywords - start all your campaigns with phrase or exact match keywords. If you have never heard of Broad keywords you will definitely be using them so fix this asap. Only use broad once you have maxed out the volume on phrase and exact. Advertising on Mobile Apps - unless you have a specific reason to advertise on apps add 'adsenseformobileapps.com' as a negative placement to all your display campaigns - your results will immediately improve. Remarketing to all countries is the default selection but if you don't target worldwide you will be targeting the wrong people. Make sure you geo target your remarketing campaigns for the best results. Hope this helps you improve your performance, any questions let me know. Thanks, ROIMarketing.co.nz
