    Hey everyone,

Reposting from another forum as I had posted in the wrong forum the other day and got no responses.

Having read these forums for a while now, I decided to take the plunge and join up. I have been working hard on SEO with my first website (forums) and I am interested in learning what others use for checking traffic for keywords. I have been using seotoolset.com's tool which shows an estimate of over 15,000 searches for my main keyword of K1 visa per day. Approx. 8,500 of these searches show from google. At this stage I am only showing on page 3 so not yet getting any of this traffic, but I am patient :p
I am wondering if anyone else uses that particular sites tool for checking keywords and how close to the mark it is. What tools do you use?

Then the tool is lying. No tool has Google data. Even Google itself does not publish the data.

Most people use Overture and WordTracker. It is "suggested" that you take Overture data and times it 10 to predict Google's data.

    Thank you for your reply

The tool I was using though did only say estimated. I have however switched across to overture and calculating x10. Not always a huge amount of difference between the two depending on the keywords. Thanks again.

Use the tools in your Adwords account - if you don't have one get one.

This is exactly what I do. Gives you an estimate from Google based on Google's data.
