I periodically see references to various analysis tools. Some will give you "real" PageRank, some will give you backlinks from the top search engines, some will analyze content in various ways... Most are duplicate solutions, rehashing previous tools. They all seem to be beneficial, even if just a tiny bit. They all require to enter my domain name... Recently, I have seen a couple of such tool sites, so I tried them. I do not remember which ones, since they were "try and toss". They provided no additional features or benefits compared to my old trusted sites. One (or more of them) spam logs. This is the only theory I have came up with. I come to this conclusion because just as soon as I completed these test, within 24 hours I recieved serious log spam from adult, money, and drug sites. Have you noticed this? Have you experienced this before? Sometimes I wish I lived in a lawless country. DoS sounds so tempting...
