Backlinkwatch.com is not accurate. In fact, I have yet to find a tool that is. Please share anyone. Thanks.

Backlinkwatch sometimes give limited backlinks results, unlike in YahooSiteExplorer. tsk! I wish Yahoo didn't shut down this service :(

To check the number of backlinks I use Yahoo site explorer and Google Webmaster Tools. To check the position I only use Google as that is the main Search Engine I want to rank for.

I won't say don't use Open Site Explorer or Backlinkwatch etc but for a thorough and in-depth analysis of the website I would definitely recommend you to use Google Analytics, Google and Bing Webmaster tools. However, if you are willing to pay for a good and more feature-rich analytics then i would recommend Omniture and Webtrends, i know it's not scalable for many, but both are big players in analytics.

Just tried SEOSERP.COM, seems to work really well. Gave a pretty in depth report, plus you can check backlinks through a link assigned on the reports page.
