Hi Guys, I'm sitting in Southern France - hey, don't get jealous, May was the wettest for 50 years! In order to check my position in natural Google listings, Adwords used to tell me to go to their Ad Preview tool, select country and enter keywords. I was told not to go to, for example, Google.com to view US ads because I would not get a true picture from France. Now things seem to have changed re Ad Words. They say on page: Warning: This page is a tool for AdWords advertisers to test their ads. For full Google functionality return to the Google homepage. Moreover, ads that appear do not have their URls listed anymore, so you cannot see who is who in the Adword listings. So, the big question is: Do I need to fly to Kentucky each time I want to see my position in natural Google.com listings, or to London for Google.co.uk positions or is there a new and improved way of doing so? I'm sure there is. Regards, Belenenses
Just enter the next line in your browser and you'll get 20 results from Google US, each one opened in a new window. http://www.google.com/search?as_q=+&num=20&hl=en&newwindow=1&gl=us&safe=off For uk, change us into uk.
Many thanks for this. Just one further point, then. In France, when I open Google on Explorer, I get iGoogle. Any search involves a page being shown with ten listings per page. What you have shown me is 20 per page. Which is correct? Thanks, Belenenses
Another point...I have just checked US, Canada and Uk and I am in exactly the same position on each site. Can that be right? Belenenses
