Checking bounce rates accurately?

    One of my clients are using vBulletin and their bounce rate is 1% only. They get a decent amount of pageviews around 3-4 million a month, I'm wondering is this bounce rate possibly accurate? On Alexa it shows around 50%, do we trust the vBulletin Analytics plugin or Alexa(although they are specified users)?.
