Checking backlinks

This is also a good Software for finding deep back links into more then 30 SE's

 

Thanks, I did try this site and for yahoo.com, it came back with "Total number of unique domains linking to your domain : 599"

Does it limit the number of backlinks that it shows?

 

The above mentioned tool definitely does; significantly in many cases.

 

Is there any way to see all the backlinks or is it the fact that all these tools rely on the SE that the number of links are limited.

One site I am looking at, if in the search field of google, I type in "domain.com", it shows well over 11,000 where this domain was named on another site, but only a max of 1,000 pages can be viewed on google.

 

All these tools can rely on is SE data. The best will pull data from all SEs and filter out the duplicates to show the most complete list possible (that's what you can do with Link Checkup also).
