    Hello everyone,

I have a website that I started in August and I have been building links since then using many different methods. My problem is that yahoo shows that my website has about 60-70 links and this has remain unchanged for a couple of months now... Could someone tell me if this is normal or if I need to do something? Also could someone show me a good way to check my backlinks?

    Thank you very much!

there's many backlinks check tools and just google "backlinks checker", you will find at least 3 latest backlink checker.
Actually, yahoo links change every 2-3 days when you keep the link building speed.

You can use backlinkwatch but it doesn't mean that it will show up all your backlinks that you created.. Better use Google Webamster tool in order to track them!

Google webmaster tools is the best and most relevant tool. But bare in mind it does also show nofollow links.

I use Google WMT , SEOMoz linkscape and SEOElite

Backlinkwatch uses Yahoo so he won't get a different result.

Different tools give different results. If lots of them tell you that you haven't got many links, its probably a good idea to make more haha good luck :)

I have tried many many different backlink checkers and they all show that I have 60-70 links. I know that I have built at least 200 and for some reason they don't show yet. I'm just asking about how long does it take Yahoo to count your links.

I am using dnscoop to check my links. They are using yahoo to check the backlinks, they are very slow in updating the backlinks. Just wait.

Your backlinks may be there, but may not be indexed with your link, if they don't show up on Yahoo, do a more advance test of your backlinks, like backlinkwatch.com in order to show every link you've got, which is indexed. Backlinks can sometimes take months to show up, it all depends on where you leave them and how you leave them. :)

You can download 'Good Keywords' for free which is not only a good tool for keyword research but also allows you to check domains for backlinks, pagerank etc... Recommended

Make sure that the links are pointing either "http://www. or http://" and do a 301-direction rom your server. That way you won´t loose any links.

Different search engines have different algorithms to calculate backlinks...Google is the "slowest" when it comes to "showing" backlinks...
