Hello Everyone, I am looking to buy a website from someone whose not a member on here. I have his paypal address and I would like to know if he is verified or not. I tried the whole 'send money' trick but I cant see anywhere that is says he is either verified or unverified?! Could anyone help me out please? Thanks
As far as I know there is no way to really tell if someone is verified on paypal. But verified just means, to my knowledge, that they have a bank account connected. Paypal can still be used for internet purchases even without the use of a bank account, or they can get a paypal card. Obviously heh.
Use: https://www.paypal.com/us/verified/pal=insert email address of paypal user here Is that what you were looking for?
I do not think the account status of your buyer should worry you much! Of course, dealing with 'verified' account holder relaxes your mind a bit but I do not see any significant benefit in real terms! If it was really helpful, Paypal would have arranged to help us see the status before one enters in the deal and not after! Regards, RightMan
why should one be interested if the other has a verified paypal account whihc is linked to his bank? you are paying money, to him via his paypal account.wether he tranfers the money to his bank account or not is not a matter of concern.
I am the buyer! Please read the original post, its matters because I dont want to be scammed by an inverified user!
I think the verified status applies to credit cards as well. As for the OP's post - when you are about to send him a payment, on the final verification page, you can see whether he's verified or not. But that's only if your seller has a personal or a premium account. This doesn't apply for business accounts.
