Wow, I don't use YPN but I am shocked that they would let things like this happen. Very unprofessional!

Yeah this is another reason I stick to other companies like comission junction and stuff.

sad that they would not even post anything in the Publisher console.. more sad that it takes so long to fix....
.. is anyone seeing any earnings for today? i moved 99% of my YPN back to adsense yesterday but i left a few YPN pages up.. but $0 so far today..

It's back to normal now, Ads are showing up normally. Of course it also looked like things were normal Sunday night but then it went down again so I just hope Yahoo has finally stabilized things.

    Firestorm,
Ok it is back to normal but are we geting paid right? yesterday I had a RPC of .17?????

How in the hell do you go from .50 to 1.00 rpc to .17? Someone is cooking the books, I am sure the people buying ads from yahoo are not getting a break. Yahoo I am sure are not saying.. Well We are not going to charge our regualr commission, we are giong to give them a break too..

So the only ones who seem to be making out are Yahoo..

I hope I am wrong, I hope this is a hiccup of magnificent magnitude.

    We shall see!

    Darrell

Well, the way i see it; Whether they pay 1.00/click or .01/click, it's their program, so they can do whatever the hell they want. I have been out of the program for a few months now and have gone back to Adsense because of the constant problems and declining revenue. It's great to have choices. At least I have less problems to worry about with Adsense.

I have put back YPN on my site to check if it was working.
I still get RON ads plus few others.
Gave them an hour and checked again. No targeting, not even "miracle diet" on a cooking site as it was before.
    Switched YPN off again.
If the do not kick me out before, I'll try again next week as they claim it should be fixed at that time.

Today I checked to see if earnings were back to normal and unfortunately they were not, I used to get around $1.00 per click and yesterday I only got $0.44 per click but at least they finally posted a message in the account interface, here is what it said:

    Subject: Network Update

"You may have noticed a decrease in impressions in your Yahoo! Publisher Network account recently. This is due to a partial outage that occurred during routine maintenance. We are actively addressing the issue and expect improvements by next week. Thanks for your patience."

So everything may look back to normal but the fact that in the message they say next week must mean they are still working on stuff and earnings will probably be less than normal until next week. It would really be great if they would reimburse publishers for all the money lost but they probably won't.

I switched back YPN for a couple of hours today but still only unrelated RON ads, loans, refinance, arcade games plus few other related (as much as a diet plan will fit a cooking site).
It's a long way home YPN! It's a long way.

I'm starting to see some earnings and relevant ads again. I'm crossing my fingers and hoping...

Anymore updates? I'd like to try to switch back to YPN, but only if I get some more reports of decent earnings.

Earnings were low yesterday morning but recovered somewhat through the day. They're low again this morning so I'm still on the fence about pulling them.

Yesterday my earnings were at $0.85 per click, so it looks like things are pretty much back to normal.

This is why YPN is still in beta and why Adsense is best...

Will YPN ever come out of beta? Okay, I've been reading all these threads about YPN and what's going on... And I'm interested... Should I run YPN again on some of my websites? Are relevant ads being shown?

Relevancy is back to normal, which is to say it sucks.. Try it though, you might be one of the lucky ones..

I've been out the game for a while now, I'm just coming back into the full swing of things now. Is YPN still better than adsense (payouts, wise)?

A few report that it is, but based on my experience, NO.. About a month ago they just started their own version of SmartPricing, which means they lower the ePC based on how well your traffic converts..
Even if if the payouts were better it would not matter much because CTR is so low.. Since they are totally incapable of delivering a well-targeted ad more than 2x in a row, not many people are going to click ...
