I prefer to check my site's position manually. Time-consuming but at least I know it's accurate.

Great job! The only note I want to mention here is that if you are using google wiki (adding websites to your favourite) it seems to be messing up software. It showed one website as #1 and it kept searching for it in top 1000.

You should make this more clear - I just spent three or four minutes trying to figure out why it wasn't working. ;)

    Thanks!

does it enable you to query different local versions of Google? If yes, can it emulate the IP of that country (say if i am viewing google.co.uk from a canadian IP the results are different to what a person with a UK IP will see)

I know this is quite an outdated thread, but I stumbled upon it and just had to say what a nifty little utility that is. Although I have had some disappointing results. I had never found a particular website of mine, even after hours of searching, turns out its not even in the top 1000. LOL

Thanks for the stuff. But i tried it on one of my keywords which if I search on Google or Google it its on page two but somehow it did not even show up on the top 1000... I will try it again though.

    Thanks

I have a soft "Top 1000 Keyword Position Check.exe" which checks your site position in Google for a particular keyword.

I noticed everyone is saying nice tool and I agree that it is. But you asked for helpful comments and I think I counted about one out of 10 above, so allow me.

It's a very good tool but it will be great tool if you code it to query Googles differing geographic data centers... rather than just google.com.

Let me give you an example. My site propertynow.com.au is the third highest ranked real estate site in Australia when searching for the phrase "real estate" and using either australian results or world results.

A site called domain is second and is a mammoth site with hundreds of thousands of listings. Neither my own site nor domain ( a household name in real estate in Australia ) show up on the first results.

This means the effectiveness of the tool for those outside the United States is severely limited.

Another great improvement would be an ability to log the position of the keyword after each test so you can compare it over time.

As I mentioned it's a good tool and you are to be commended but at it's present level ( and even for free ) it's not something I would currently use other than as a novelty. Thanks for providing this and well done however!

As was aforementioned earlier, this tool would be great if you could search other Google geographic areas.

I would love to see how my sites are doing in the country that I live ie co.uk

Any chance you can add this?

Thank you all for your comments and suggestions..

I'm really very happy to see such comments of DP members that like my software..

I'm developping the software to a new version that allow users to :
    - Search in two language ( French and English )
    - Geographic Search For example :
Searching on Google.com and choosing languiage Eng/Fr
Searching on Google.co.uk and choosing languiage Eng/Fr
Searching on Google.com.au and choosing languiage Eng/Fr
Searching on Google.ca and choosing languiage Eng/Fr

The new version will be released very soon and i will post the news in this thread.

If you have any others suggestions i will be glad to hear them.

    Thank you all.
    Best Regards.
