    When I search My back link in Google.com so I am very excited for today update.

    I get more benefit back link in Google.com.

    you can check back link by applying link command, link:url name

    Whats the importance of backlinks update? Is there a significant change in site serp in Google? I don't see any in my sites.

    Yes i also see that google back links update well i dont think this make any difference in google SERP.

    But this is good way to see that which link are wasted and which are useful for you.

    Google rarely reports more than 1-3% of a site's backlinks. I would recommend using Yahoo's Site Explorer.

    Yahoo site explorer is the best place to check site back links :) It shows most of your links unlike big G who shows only a small percentage.

    On topic, there is also an increase on my part.

    I use Yahoo to check for backlinks.
    Kinda amusing actually, I got one site with 800 and some showing on yahoo and 11 on google. lol

    Quite the spirit kicker if you rely on google only

    If you want to see your backlinks check at yahoo search engine and not on Google it self.
