    Help –

Just downloaded the Optigold demo application for a customer who needs a check reader and I need some help. The MagTek check reader was requested, but VeriFone and HHP check readers are acceptable as well.
http://www.magtek.com/products/check_reading/check_reading.asp is just one example. If some out there is a subject matter expert, I'm all EARS! :)

We have several customers who need the following support. Were looking at over 100 customers in Q1 and any support would be most appreciated. I’m a newbie to the online automated / Optigold application and need help with the following:

Install Optigold nationwide to over 100 customers with virtual check capibilities working and the client having a check reader connected to the PC.

Looks for recommendations and suggestions big time.

Really any check reader that has the ability to spit out the mag stripe data should work. I think most are USB based these days.

Yes, but how does OptiGold receive the check information and how is it scanned into the application?

The reader should have drivers that you can assign what fields in what application you apply the data to.

    Shawn,

OK thanks - So the check reader needs to push the data to the OptiGold database rather than OG pulling correct?

Ok-ok, I thought OptiGold was pulling the information from the Check Reader, rather than the CR device pushing the information to the correct fields. Makes Sense...

Is there a a PDF document that show's How to define the fields that get populated under gold from the Check Reader? OR is it really the CR responsibility?

Thanks guys, I owe you guys a few movies...When we finish at the pacific mall, I'll send you a few..

It's the check reader's responsibility completely.
